Article Submission Guidelines

Topic

Each month China Insight is dedicated to a specific topic (for example, the topic for June

2005 was “Organizations focusing on Chinese culture, education and business). Writers may

choose to submit articles related to the upcoming month’s topic, however, we always strive

to provide a wide range of articles in each issue, so we will consider articles in the following

areas of interest: business, finance, government, culture, travel, lifestyle, education, science

& technology, sports, and local Chinese events in the Twin Cities.

Controversial topics, editorials and advertorials

· All submissions become property of China Insight and may be edited at the discretion of

CI staff.

· China Insight will not accept editorials about controversial topics for publication.

· Any article about a controversial topic will be presented in a neutral manner.

· China Insight reserves the right to edit articles of an advertorial nature to present the

topic(s) discussed in a more neutral manner.

· If there is any potential conflict of interest on the viewpoint of the article or author, the

editors reserves the right to add a disclaimer.

· Any articles accepted for publication which are not neutral presentations of a topic will

be appropriately labeled within the paper as an advertorial, editorial, or public service

announcement (PSA).

Deadline

· Submit article ideas/plans by the end of the first week of the month preceding publication

(ex. submit ideas on September issue by the first week of August)
