University Graduates Suffer "Employment Anxiety"

With 6.1 million graduates around the country, job fairs are always packed. 

After walking out of a job fair at Peking University, Che Xinglai shook his head disappointedly and told the reporter, "Nothing gained." Che Xinglai is a physics doctoral candidate from Tsinghua University, who will graduate in July. Like most of his classmates, he began crisscrossing Beijing campus job fairs at the beginning of the 2008 autumn semester.

USA Diving coach Wenbo Chen joins Gophers

Wenbo Chen, the head coach and associate director of USA Diving’s National Training Center since 2005, has accepted a position as diving coach at the University of Minnesota. Chen will begin his duties at the University of Minnesota on Aug. 3, but will continue to be involved with USA Diving while in Minnesota.

Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine submits self-study for re-accreditation

After more than a year of preparation and hard work, the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM) at Northwestern Health Sciences University submitted its self-study in April 2009. “The process started in October 2007,” said Mark McKenzie, dean of MCAOM. “It was kicked off in February 2008. The self-study takes about 16 months to complete.”
