This year, China Center celebrates 30 years since its establishment at the University of Minnesota. To mark three decades of building U.S.-China bridges, the China Center invites supporters to a festive evening of dinner and celebration. This event is being held in conjunction with International Education Week.

The keynote speech, "America and China Working Together" will be presented by former United States congressman Mark Kennedy. Other honored guest speakers include former China Center Director Dr. M Patricia Needle, Regent Professor (retired) and former China Center Advisory Council (CCAC) President Paul Quie, former CCAC President Prof. Mahmood Zaidi, and community leader Weiming Lu.

This milestone celebration will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Coffman Memorial Union (300 Washington Ave. S.E., Minneapolis, MN 55455-0110).  The cost is US$40 per person payable by check made out to “University of Minnesota”.  Those interested in attending should RSVP by Monday, Nov. 9, 2009.
