Stories about a credit crunch affecting the ability of businesses to borrow money may be grounded more in myth than reality. Banks are still lending to firms with good credit histories and collateral. Financial Tools for Exporters is for business owners, financial executives and their bankers who are responsible for financial strategies to expand their international sales and reduce risk to their export operations. This session will include:
Export Development - grants and loans for businesses to expand their product and service exports to global markets.

Export Credit and Risk Management Tools - Enable businesses to both finance their export activities and mitigate the risk of non-payment.

One-to-One Business Counseling: Following the session, Minnesota Trade Office will schedule individual meetings between businesses & presenters for an initial assessment.
Presenters include Carlos Sosa, Regional Manager, Export Solutions Group, U.S. Small Business Administration; Curt Hanson, Founding Principal, Trade Acceptance Group; John Novak, Vice President International Trade Services, Bremer Bank; and Jane Hay, Vice President, Global Trade Services, US Bank
St. Mary's University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Minnesota Small Business Development Centers are cosponsoring organizations for this seminar.
Midwest Global Trade Association; Minnesota International Center; US Commercial Service; and US Small Business Administration are cooperating organizations.
These sessions are a part of Governor Dayton's Access to Capital Initiative.
This seminar will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 8 – 11 a.m. at St. Mary's University of Minnesota Twin Cities, 2304 Park Avenue, Minneapolis. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
