Ronald M. Bosrock of St. Paul is founder and director of the Global Institute, a research center; Minnesota Honorary Consul General to Austria; a guest lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and an international business consultant. His Global Executive column appears monthly in the Star Tribune. During most of his career Mr. Bosrock traveled extensively throughout the world working with U.S. businesses to expand their markets cross-border. Over the past thirteen years, he has participated in various aspects of joint ventures, acquisitions and distribution activities in China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, India and Korea as well as Australia, New Zealand and the Mideast. He has had similar experience helping U.S. companies in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador.
